part of their arms and legs. This was a new experience to some of the lit-
tle Arab boys. One of them walked alongside Jean and said repeatedly,
“Mozehn”, which, in Arabic, means “not good.” We found it interesting
to shop in a real, old-fashioned Arab town and we managed to bargain

We agreed to meet at our house at 10 a.m. the following Friday morn-
ing. He appeared at that time along with Palmer Scott, a retired Los
Angeles policeman who worked for the Aramco security group. Cal and
Palmer had met a couple of times to begin a gospel study meeting. From
that time onward, they met with us every Friday morning in our living
room. Very soon thereafter we were joined by Craig W. Wayman, who

Cyprus was a British colony. The citizens were almost all either Greek
or Turkish in origin. The island was very dry, but the weather was su-

had lunch in a little restaurant facing a gorgeous half-moon bay in the
Mediterranean. In Famagusta Richard enjoyed an old fort overlooking
the port where he straddled an old cannon that was still facing out to sea.
