JOURNEYMAN/ COMMISSION
For Journeyman status, you must be level A and nominated by the commissioning manager to enter the
shadow process. The shadow process will involve the tech shadowing on 3 to 5 commissions,
progressively performing the following: project tasks, field tasks, e-trainings, and classroom pieces of
training. Finally, they will audit by performing commissioning with the commissioning manager
providing feedback and grade at the end of the job. In addition to 2/3/4 engines, the type 6 and 624
require individual audits to confirm expertise
