Welcome To Our School
St Mary’s is a Catholic all-girls school under the trusteeship of CEIST (Catholic Education
an Irish Schools Trust) and run by a Board of Management in close co-operation with
the Mercy Order. A strong mercy ethos has always been an important part of school life,
where faith is nurtured and religious and moral education is seen as fundamental to the
development of each girl. Founded in 1872, the school continues the philosophy of care
and education initiated by Catherine McAuley and the Sisters of Mercy. Prospectus
