Transition Year is a one year optional programme designed to
develop self directed learning and to promote self-esteem and maturity. It affords
students the opportunity to acquire new skills while continuing to work in their
core subject areas. Students undertake modules in a variety of subjects, allowing
them to make informed choices prior to Senior Cycle study.

Leaving Certificate Applied Programme is a self-
contained two-year programme aimed at preparing students for adult and
working life. The programme places an emphasis on forms of achievement that
the established Leaving Certificate has not focused on in the past.

Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme is an
added opportunity to gain an enhanced Leaving Certificate by taking a course in
Enterprise Education, Preparation for Work and Information Technology.

• This prepares students for life after school, for further education, the world of
work and the business of making a living.
