Forgiveness
Let’s face it — some mistakes are easier to forgive than others, so by extension, forgiveness is important task relative to how serious the injury that needs forgiving is. This chapter is about the very complicated task of forgiveness in a love relationship.
Forgiveness is an Intention Different From Those We Have Become Familiar With
Relationships where both partners want a long term connection, require that the partners want to strengthen and fortify one another and need to maintain themselves through constant devotion and re- dedication. This is the message I have been promoting since minute one. That message has been part of a conversation that sounds like this:
“I want to make sure I do things which show that I desire you, I appreciate you and I love you; and if I do them with dedication and intention and if you do them too, this process within the relationship will make us both better people and will give the relationship a reason to mature and transform us.”
It took me a really long time to sum up in crystallized form, what might be the most important intention in a loving relationship — but there it is. However, that summation isn’t the key in its entirety
