Sophisticated technology now enables us to detect
compounds in drinking water in parts per trillion
(ppt) but how that translates into health effects
often takes years of research and analysis.
The NJDEP MCLs for PFOA and other PFAS are based
on many years of research and analysis of health
effects information by NJDEP and the Drinking Water
Quality Institute.
