going on in your mind is: ‘ I want to be MORE confident in singing...or, I
want to be confident ENOUGH to do such-and-such.’

aspire to feel confident enough to sing solo. Or
I feel confident enough to sing with friends, but I want to feel
confident enough to sing at open mic nights. Or
I feel confident enough singing at open mics, but I want to feel
confident enough to perform at events, and get gigs regularly.

Great stuff!
