1.1 Introduction (Luftfartsret 1 - 2 videoer)
This chapter covers the provisions and principles applicable to aviation in
Danish airspace.
The Danish Transport Agency (Trafikstyrelsen) is the authority for civil aviation
in Denmark. This means that the Transport Agency sets the rules for the
operation of aviation and monitors compliance with these regulations.
The foundation for these rules is:
“Lov om Luftfart” (Aviation Legislation) which regulates danish aviation.
Aviation legislation in Denmark is largely based on standards adopted within
international aviation organizations.
§ 1. Aviation within Danish territory must take place in accordance with the
provisions of this Act and regulations issued under the Act, unless otherwise
specified by EU regulations.
In areas where legislative competence has been transferred to the EU, Denmark
must follow EU rules.
