P. 566
Operational procedures
It states what you should be aware of if there is glider or parachute activity.
There is also an important section on overflights of cities and activation of
runway lights, and much more. Basically, everything you need to know before
you go there by plane.
6.4.1.3 Airport map
A general view of the airport with indication of runways
and location of tanks and ADO is useful information.
The airport map is the file ending in ‘ADC’.
Here is the airport map for EKVB.
Note that on runway 11
the THR (Threshold) is
offset onto the runway.
Study the airport map
carefully before flying to a
foreign airport.
Remember to stop in
front of all marked stop lines. If there is a stop bar, you may only pass it after
permission, and the light in the stop bar is turned off.
If you find yourself in a situation where you are suddenly on a runway without
permission, you must immediately notify the relevant air traffic service unit and,
if possible, leave the runway as soon as possible.
