6.3.8.1 On the way out to the aircraft

When a pilot is flying with friends and acquaintances, it is important to meet

them “before the fence” and guide them safely to the aircraft.

A propeller that is running is invisible, and many accidents have occurred when
people have come too close to a propeller.

Make it clear to any people other than the people you are taking with you on

the flight, where they are allowed to stay, while at the aerodrome.

6.3.8.2 On board the aircraft

Once everyone has safely boarded the aircraft, it is the pilot's duty to inform

passengers of the location and use of:

a. Seat belts and any shoulder harnesses
b. Life jackets

c. Emergency equipment and emergency exits

d. Hand luggage and electronic devices, including mobile phones

e. Oxygen equipment

f. Instructions on safety on board

g. Right-hand pilot's seat. If a passenger is transported in the seat, the

passenger must be informed prior to the flight that it is not permitted to

touch the aircraft's instruments and controls during flight, and must be

instructed to open any door next to the pilot's seat in question
h. Information on search and rescue for the areas to be flown, if published

in the relevant

AIP.

It is recommended that

a passenger briefing

checklist, such as this
one, is prepared.
