1.5.6.2 Airport details
We will now take a closer look at the information for EKVB (Viborg Airport).
At the top right of the page, the document number AD2.EKVB – 3 is displayed,
along with the issue date. You can check the date in the checklist to ensure you
have the latest version.
(This is important because changes occasionally occur that may be of
importance to you as a pilot, e.g. changes in frequencies. This is also why you
must make sure you have the latest and most updated map for the skill test)
AD ELEV: 83 indicates the official elevation of the airfield is 83 feet.
This number indicates the highest altitude on the landing area.
Below are the coordinates of the airport reference point (ARP) where the two
runways cross each other.
Viborg Radio, with frequency 123,500 Megahertz, speaks Danish.
Flight Information Service (FIS) in the area is provided by Karup Approach on
the specified frequency.
The symbols in the middle of the field on the left show that the area is used for
motor flying, gliding and parachuting.
