                2.5.3     Other traffic


                It is not enough to use your vision to keep the plane level. You must also keep a

                close eye on other traffic.


                Make sure you are visible so that others can see you (light). If others know you

                are nearby, there is a greater chance that you will be seen.

                Therefore: submit position reports and turn on your transponder!


                Remember your sunglasses, they are indispensable in sunlight - even sunlight

                over snowy areas, where you risk becoming snow-blind due to too much light if

                you do not protect your eyes.




                2.5.3.1     Collision risk


                Two planes on a collision course:














                If


                                                              the  relative  bearing  between  two
                                                              planes remains constant, the image of

                                                              the other plane will appear stationary.


                                                              It will just grow in size.

                                                              Fast.





                                                              And  suddenly  the  risk  of  collision  is

                                                              imminent.
