Loss of TR thrust during Indicated by loss of TR control, spin to the right (less then when in hover
forward flight 1. Immediately enter autorotation
2. Maintain 70 Kts
3. Select landing site, roll throttle off into detent,
4. Perform autorotation landing
*if there is lo suitable landing site, forward flight can be maintained at
75Kts until a suitable landing spot has been found
Ditching - Power On 1. Descend to hover above water
2. Unlatch doors
3. Passenger exit aircraft
4. Fly a safe distance away from passenger
5. Switch off battery and alt
6. Roll throttle off into detent
7. Keep aircraft level and apply full collective as it contacts water
8. Apply left lateral cyclic
9. Release seat belt and get away from aircraft
Ditching-Power Off 1. Follow power failure procedures
2. Apply lateral cyclic when aircraft contacts water
3. Release seat belt and exit once blades stop rotating
Air Restart 1. Mixture full rich
2. Throttle closed, then cracked slightly
3. Crank with left hand
Maximun glide distance 1. Airspeed 75Kts
2. RPM 90%
3. Glide ratio 4:1 (on NM/1500 ft)
Power Failure above 500ft 1. Lower collective to maintain RPM
AGL 2. Establish glide at 65 Kts
3. Adjust collective to maintain RPM
4. Select landing spot, if possible land into wind
5. Attempt restart if time permits
6. If restart fails, turn off unnecessary switches and shut off fuel
7. Begin cyclic flare at 40ft AGL
8. At 8ft AGL level off, and raise collective to cushion landing
