manner. For a bit of comedic relief, you didn’t have to look too far. Sixth grader, Kate Maricle, played Iago, the opinionated feathered-friend sidekick to our villain, Jafar, played by 7th grader Claire Wilke. The almighty Genie and the trusted magic carpet were played by 8th grader, Ava Pape, and 7th grader, Kiara Verner, ensuring that the audience laughed in all the right spots.The entire cast of the show was skillfully selected by Mrs. Byford, who really did an amazing job highlighting the abilities of each and every cast member.
Everyone involved in the musical did excellent work, put out a production to be incredibly proud of, and made watching our talented students fun for people of all ages. It gave students an experience in which they
could add on to the acting skills they already possess, or for some, go out on a limb and try something completely new. For a brief part of our day, we all got swept away to Agrabah to enjoy this classic tale.
