of the mind.” Lastly, it is transformed into the “prayer of the

spirit.”
Prayer of the body is a prayer of repentance. When we

repent of our sins, we gain purity. Another aspect in the
prayer of the body is requesting the needs of the body. Our

body demands a lot of things. Therefore, there are a lot of
requests. Most common prayer of the body is con-cerning

what to eat. People are mainly interested in what to eat and
drink. Amazingly, even the believers are no different. That is

why we are prone to stop at the prayer of the body. We de-
mand so many things and that is why much time is spent in

this prayer of the body. Despite the time spent, our prayers
are often not answered. It is that God does not want to answer

based on the passions of the flesh.

“When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with
wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your

pleasures.” (James 4:3)

People may ask diligently, but these prayers end up in the
trash bin. Many do not under-stand why. Many use this verse

“You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do
it.” (John 14:14), and protest to God. God remains silent in
