i everyone this song i am including is an upbeat country song about a cowboy who
Hloves the ladies to the point off distraction and how it affects his life. ‘Southern Born
Romeo’ was inspired by listening to favourite country artists of mine including Willie Nelson,
Steve Earle, Trace Adkins and the late country legend that was Kenny Rogers. The song is

performed live not in a recording studio.

I wrote the lyrics to this and the melody was written by our rhythm guitarist Pete Angus. It
was one of the songs along with ‘Ellie Mae’ and ‘Big White Stretch Limo’ which has received
airplay in America. Our band the ‘4 Owld Codgers’ mainly writes all original material though
we have covered ‘Copperhead Road’ by ‘Steve Earle’ and ‘Wagon Wheel’ (the Darius Rucker
version). We also have had success in International song contests (we came 4th and 7th out of
more than 250 entries with our songs ‘I Wish I Was Clint Eastwood’ about lost love and
‘Jonny Was A Soldier’ about the futility of war). All of our material is available to listen to on
