SCOUTING NO. 9 DELAWARE
Delaware has started out the season
with a 4-0 record, including ranked wins
over No. 22 Albany (1-0) and then-No. 9
Penn State (3-1). Femke Strein is third in
the nation in goals per game and goalkeeper
Sydney Rhoads ranks in the top-five in goals-against-
average (0.50) and save percentage (0.857).
The Blue Hens lead the all-time series 19-9-3, with the
Scarlet Knights earning a 2-1 road victory last season
over then-No. 19 Delaware on a second-half goal from Kassidy Shetler.
SCOUTING MONMOUTH
Monmouth has opened the season with
a 3-1 mark, earning wins over
Longwood, Hofstra and Villanova and
falling at Northeastern. The Hawks are
fifth in the nation with four goals per
game, with Yamsin Pratt leading the team with four
markers.
Monmouth went 13-7 last season, winning the MAAC
to qualify for the NCAA Tournament. The all-time
series between these two New Jersey teams is even at 4-4, with Rutgers winning three of the last four
matchups between 2012 and 2015.
