EAST LANSING, Michigan – No. 18 Rutgers field hockey (8-6, 3-3 Big Ten) completed a two-win road
weekend with another conference victory on Sunday, earning a 3-2 win at Michigan State (6-9, 0-6 Big
Ten). The Scarlet Knights were buoyed by goals from Milena Redlingshoefer, Alanna
       Gollotto and Austyn Cuneo.

                  HOW IT HAPPENED

The Scarlet Knights struck first, capitalizing on a penalty corner late in the opening half. Tayla
Parkes inserted the corner to Gianna Mancini, who sent a pass to Milena Redlingshoefer. The
sophomore sent home her first career goal to give RU a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. Early in the
second half, the visitors extended their lead to 2-0. After another corner, it was senior captain Alanna
Gollotto delivering a goal, with Redlingshoefer and Parkes picking up assists. MSU shortly after scored
an unassisted tally to cut the lead to 2-1. But it was a penalty stroke for the Scarlet Knights in the fourth
quarter that re-upped their lead to two goals. Austyn Cuneo converted, making the score 3-1. The
Spartans added another late tally, but it was not enough as RU finished off the 3-2 victory.
