Monday, October 20, 2014
The Wilton High field hockey team wrapped up the top seed for the upcoming FCIAC playoffs with an
impressive 6-0 win at Staples on Monday night. The Warriors (13-1-1 overall, 11-0-1 in the FCIAC) needed

in front by Katherine Campbell, and then wound up being shot into the cage by Delaney Chase.
Chase scored again with 16 minutes left in the first half, and Kristen Godin blasted in a shot on a penalty corner
with nine minutes left in the half, making it 3-0.
In the second half, Wilton got goals by Meg Cunningham, Godin and Bridget Ward to close out the scoring.
For the night, Chase had two goals and one assist and Godin also scored twice. Cunningham had a goal and two
assists, and Ward had one goal. Delaney Baxendale and Campbell each had an assist.
The Warriors got a terrific game in goal by Amanda Hendry, who made several spectacular saves and finished
with five on the night. Staples dropped to 8-3-0-1 in FCIAC play with the loss.
