They often lack interest at work, missing deadlines and avoid challenging tasks. With

that, the company needs to encourage the employees through providing them with skills and
resources needed to do their jobs. The last one motivator is the advancement which pertains to
growth and promotional opportunities. In the situation, the employees might want to be pro-

moted to a better position in order to be motivated. Career advancement is important to em-
ployee satisfaction and retention at the company.

Furthermore, the hygiene factors include company policy and administration, supervi-
sion, salary, interpersonal relationships and working conditions. These factors have nothing to
do with motivation. However, they are significant to be present in the company to avoid dissat-

          isfaction of employees.

Among money, conditions, and fringe benefits, there are other ways to motivate the employees
to perform better within the company. According to an article from Association of Professional
Trainers Singapore, there are top ten factors which motivates the employees to do their best at

work. This includes appreciation for a job well done, being in the know about company matters,
an understanding attitude from the management, job security, good wages, interesting work,

career advancement opportunities, loyalty from management, good working conditions and
          tactful discipline.

Indeed, work for most employees is not all about salary, conditions and benefits they

get. They are most likely to have purposeful work in a comfortable environment that enables
them to grow their potential and abilities. Even though it was hard to find a job nowadays, they

still look for companies where they will fit in and last long. Employees look for the internal
and external factors in order to be motivated and satisfied. It is not enough that they are paid
for the hours or weeks they have worked, they also wanted to be appreciated for their contri-

butions no matter how small or big. A research stated that 70% of employees say that motiva-
tion and morale would improve massively with increased recognition from managers. Being

recognized as part of the success of a company is a major achievement for them.
