ESTABLISH PROCEDURES
Research shows that establishing guidelines/rules on how
teams will interact reduces uncertainty and plays a role in
fostering trust and enhancing productivity (Harvard
Business Review). It is important for managers to make
clear how the team works – this includes how the team
communicates, and the processes that need to be followed.
In this section, we will:
1. Outline strategies to set expectations on how and
when to use specific software/tools
2. Outline strategies to create open lines of
communication between management and staff in
remote teams
Software & Tools
Managers need to ensure that they have the right
software and tools to make sure everyone is on the
same page. Staff should also be made aware of how
and when to use certain tools or software.
To clearly communicate expectations on the use of
software/tools, consider the following:
