Working at St Michael’s Hospital for the past 10 years,

there are too many fond memories to name as just one

favourite. There are a few that stand out the most. One

being the year that the Malnutrition Team won the

Interprofessional Collaboration Award . The

Malnutrition project was in it’s infancy and we were

already recognized as being very valuable. Having such a

positive nutritional impact with the inpatients was very
satisfying and rewarding.

We all felt very accomplished by all the hard work we

had put in, to make Malnutrition Screening a

permanent assessment for all the patients that get

admitted. Other incredible projects had stemmed from

this as well. Without SMH’s support and the amazing

team members that helped achieve this goal, I would

not be where I am today. It is very rewarding knowing

that just because of 2 quick questions that I ask the
inpatients, they get heard with their nutrition concerns.
