Wow! 20 years. I can honestly say it does not feel like

that to me. I have been blessed to be working in the
best department – Volunteer Services – working
alongside a fantastic team coupled with amazing
volunteers and high school coop students.
My favourite memories are of celebrating our
volunteers along with all our special moments and
conversations in the volunteer lounge: the laughter
mingled with multiple conversations happening all at
once, smiles, inclusion of new volunteers from seasoned
volunteers, warm hugs and friendships.
I can’t forget my high school coop students! Their
exuberance to learn and explore healthcare as a future
career, is amazing. It warms my heart to hear back from
so many, to learn where they landed and how their
experience here at St. Michael’s – Unity Health shaped
their path.
