Start Date: May 5, 2005 There are many memories over the last 15+ years, but
one that stands out is having the opportunity to be a
part of the Our Lady of Mercy wing opening.
I was here when the original building came down and
had the honour to work with the communications team
to plan the celebrations and opening ceremonies for the
new wing. I still have a piece of brick from the old
building in my office!
It was an amazing transformation and I will never forget
standing in the hallway watching the parade of patients
being moved into the new wing. We were making history
that day with a new building opening in our soon to be
century old legacy.
St. Joe’s has been my home and I feel like I’ve grown up
here. It’s the place where my son was born. It’s my
community hospital and I’ve been very lucky to develop
and advance my career over the years in this
organization - and now within our larger Unity Health
Toronto network.
