HELEN MARTTINEN Favourite Memory

My favourite memory was when I was first hired.

A group of us were hired to be part of the new

Mental Health Short Stay Unit. We worked as a

group for almost 3 months, makes plans for the

new unit that would open in January 2006. They

were exciting times, planning a new unit from the

ground up. I am the only staff left on the MHSSU

from that period, and I have been able to see the

unit evolve and excel into a unit we are all proud

to be a part of. Our next exciting step will occur

when we move to our new location on 7M later

this year. Thank you St. Joe’s for a wonderful 15

years!
