Will Social Security Be Around for Me?
The most common discussion surrounding Social Security
is the question of whether the program will survive. Social
Security benefits are paid, not from an existing pool of money,
but through contributions of people currently in the workforce.
Since the ratio of people contributing to Social Security to those
receiving Social Security has been dropping steadily over the
last century, the numbers look frightening.
