                     Companies Are Cutting

                        Health-Care Benefits

In addition to cutting pension plans, American companies are

also cutting other benefits previously promised to employees,
most notably healthcare benefits. Companies have discovered
that they can save enormous amounts of money by cutting or

        reducing medical coverage for retirees.
