Stabilization Ponds & Sludge Lagoons
Wastewater Stabilization Ponds and Sludge Lagoons are the oldest and one of
the simplest means of treating wastewater and sludge.
Ponds and Lagoons utilize time by providing significant volume and detention to
treat wastewater and to digest sludge.
Given effective design, volume and Operator diligence, a Stabilization Pond can
achieve good removals of BOD, TSS and even nutrients.
