Industry standard design allows for at least 4 hours of Aeration Basin Contact

Time.

Aeration Basins are typically overdesigned for Contact Time, considering

fluctuations in influent flow, variations of return activated sludge flow (RAS) and

for seasonal temperatures.

Note - Microorganisms require more time to consume food in the colder winter months

and less time during the summer months.
