The Relationship Between Distance and Volume
Given the previous definitions for distance and volume as units of measure, the
relationship between these two measurements may not be immediately obvious.
However, consider a box that is 3 feet wide, 2 feet tall and 4 feet long.
The volume of this box can be determined by multiplying each of the dimensions
provided: Length x width x height
Therefore, the volume is:
4 ft x 3 ft x 2 ft = 24 ft x ft x ft
