• Preparation of surgical suite in order to provide quality patient care
• Assist with patient prep for surgical procedures
• Set up and maintain anesthesia and surgical equipment
• Assist with inducing anesthesia
• Keep accurate log records of anesthesia, controlled substances, and
surgery
• Prepare, sterilize, and set up surgical packs
• Observe and care for recovering surgical patients

A. Assist in performing surgical preparations
1. Prepare surgical equipment/supplies
2. Sterilize instruments and sanitize supplies using appropriate

6. Assist the veterinarian and/or veterinary technician with prepara-

1. Maintain proper operating room conduct and asepsis
