The curve in one blade allows it to be slipped under a
strand of suture and cut for removal.

One jaw is slipped under the metal suture right in the
middle and the handles are squeezed which pries the
staple ends apart for easy removal
Face masks for “gassing” a patient down or delivering oxygen
On occasion the pre‐anesthetics or the induction agent
doesn’t work on a patient and they need a touch of gas
to put them down enough in order to be intubated. PPE
for this is a respirator.
