WEARING A MUZZLE
A muzzle effectively stops a horse from removing its bandages but will also prevent it from
eating (Figure 3.31). Make sure the horse has learned to drink with the muzzle in place
before leaving it on for any length of time. Muzzles are not designed for long-term use and
should only be fitted as a temporary measure.
