Morris Shubin
Morris Shubin, an excellent watercolorist and Asilomar teacher; gave his all to the Jade Fon Asilomar
Workshops. As a student of these workshops, I enjoyed studying with Mr. Shubin. He and his wife Ann
Shubin were dear friends of mine. His painting ideas helped me develop many of my own ideas.
One of Mr. Shubin’s painting ideas was: “Make everything uneven.” His painting and teaching helped me
form many creative ideas about painting with watercolor. Morris Shubin was a great talent and master
watercolorist. All of the Asilomar instructors gave students so much more than just art lessons.
