From the President
Brian Smith
Greetings members,
My name is Brian Smith and I am the new IPMA
President. 2020 was a challenging year and I Table of
want to say thank you to our previous board
president, Jeff Cochran, for leading us through it.
The IPMA board is continuing to meet virtually
as we work on our 2021 conference and our plan
is to be in-person this fall. If you have recom-
mendations for speakers, please reach out to
one of your board members.
As the weather begins to warm up and the last
of the snow is melted away, I am optimistic that 4 NPMA Training Opportunities

2021 will be a great year for our industry. I want
to make you aware that recently a new bill (SF 7 Marketing Tips
52) was introduced in the Iowa State Senate that
would ban the use and sale of neonicotinoid 10 An Unusual Year
pesticides in the State. The NPMA is monitoring 11
this legislation and does not think it is viable and About the Connection
will not gain traction. To view the details of this 12 T T ermites or Flying Ants ?

Lastly, NPMA’s Legislative Day is being held vir-
tually this month and some of our IPMA Board 14 Termite Information for Technicians
Members will be participating. It will provide a 16 They Might be “Mites”
chance to build bridges between our industry
and members of Congress without having to
make the trip to Washington, DC.
I hope you have a safe and busy year,
Brian Smith, President IPMA
