          Striking Surface: Back edge and point
          The fastest of all the elbow strikes, the spinning elbow also generates great power
          by having the entire body spinning behind it. It works best as part of a combination
          or as a powerful hold-breaker.
            To throw the spinning elbow strike, quickly turn 180 degrees and drive your
          elbow around in an arc. Like all spinning techniques, it is essential to turn your
          head and body ahead of the elbow. (Figs. 35 and 36)
            There are many targets for this strike, but a useful aid is to remember that
          many of them lie on the centre line of the head and body: between the eyes,
          under the nose, the chin, throat, sternum, solar plexus and the lower abdomen
          are all targets.
            Additional targets not on the centre line are the nape of the neck, the heart,
          liver, kidneys and between the shoulder blades.

          The elbow strikes are almost a mini-fighting system in themselves, so great is
          their range and adaptability. In close-range combat mastery of the elbow along
