Combat Kick Boxing

          Striking Surface: Front edge
This strike is very powerful and deceptive in that it utilises a fast downward
whipping motion, curving the body behind it. Its origins lie in Thai boxing where
          its use has been perfected.
To throw the whipping elbow, rotate your body to the left and bring your right
arm over, striking your assailant’s temple. The strike describes an almost vertical
          arc. (Figs. 33 and 34)
Use the focus pad held at an upward angle of 45 degrees to practise this strike.
The main targets are all on the head: the temple, cheek bone, jaw and the
          bridge of the nose.
