Combat Kick Boxing


          Striking Surface: Point
          The side elbow strike is used primarily to attack assailants to your left and right.
          You can attack assailants to the front by utilising a body turn during a combination.
            To throw the side elbow strike, thrust the point of your elbow directly to the
          side, generating power from the shoulder. (Fig. 29)
            If space permits, you can increase the impact by taking a sidestep towards your
          assailant and co-ordinating the movement so that you hit your opponent as you
          land, thus placing the maximum body weight behind the strike.
            The target areas for the side elbow strike are the eye, throat, solar plexus, ribs,
          lower abdomen and the kidneys.
