Objectives

Generally, the library aims to provide adequate and stimulating learning environment
through access to information sources in pursuit to teaching, research and extension work
of the institution. Specially, it seeks to:

a. Select and acquire library materials to support all academic and other concerns of
the university;
b. Prepare library resources for use through cataloguing, classification, indexing, and
preservation;
c. Provide individual and group assistance to readers in the use of the library;
d. Encourage the reading habit by means of current awareness services;
e. Provide maintain, and arrange physical facilities and equipment that shall enable
users to utilize fully and library’s resources;
f. Establish appropriate linkages to which IFSU student, faculty and staff may be
refereed in times of need, and;
g. Develop competitive staff to be able to guide students and other researchers;
lifelong education.
