2.3.1.1. At the beginning of the semester, faculty members should inform their students on
the criteria for grading. This must have been included in the syllabus of the subject
prepared by the faculty and approved by the Dean. Some aspects that can be
considered for grading are: periodic examinations; term papers; projects; oral
report/presentation; and class participation. The following guidelines should be
observed in preparing reports on rating:
2.3.1.2. Grading Sheets should be computerized via excel, duly signed and submitted by the
concerned faculty in triplicate to the Program Chairperson.
2.3.1.3. Only duly registered students should be given ratings and this can be double checked
                                   through the official class list.

                       2.3.2. The IFSU Grading System
2.3.2.1. The faculty is to compute the grades of students based on key performance
indicators set and properly explained before the class at the beginning of the
                                   semester.
2.3.2.2. Students must be informed of their performance on said key performance indicators.
2.3.2.3. The computed grade must be converted into numerical rating that will appear on the
grading sheet and subsequently on the Transcript of Records of Students.
2.3.2.4. The numerical rating of computed grades in IFSU are in table 8 below:

is given one (1) year to complete the incomplete and submit completion forms to
the registrar’s office copy furnished the Dean of the College who informs the teachers
                                   concerned.
2.3.2.6. Students who dropped after submitting an official dropping form will not be given
failing grades but marked as OD - Officially Dropped. Students who dropped out
from class without submitting an official dropping form will be given failing grades
at the end of the semester and reflected in the grading sheet.
