The Town of Newcomb recently completed four high-
Impact actions under NYSERDA’s Clean Energy Communi-
ties program and has been named a Clean Energy Com-
munity by NYSERDA. We are now eligible for a Designa-
tion Grant and will receive a grant in the amount of
$5,000, towards a project which will contribute to green-
house gas emissions reduction.
Nancy Bernstein from the Adirondack North Country As-
sociation helps Local governments in New York State to
implement clean energy actions, save energy costs, cre-
ate jobs, and improve the environment. In addition to
providing tools, resources, and technical assistance, the
ANCA recognizes and rewards leadership for the comple-
tion of clean energy projects. The savings on our conver-
sion to LED street lighting resulted in a 50% reduction in
annual costs.
