Ballet, speech & Drama and Music
RAD Graded Ballet
• Available to Years 2 – 6
• Grade 1 and 2 available as chargeable clubs
• Lesson duration and timing – 45 minutes – after school club
• Lesson cost – to be confirmed later in the summer
Other grades and private ballet lessons are available by arrangement with the Dance Department.
Miss Ford’s Ballet
• Available to all pupils
• Lesson duration and timing – 30 minutes during the school day
• Lesson cost – to be confirmed later in the summer
Music
Individual music lessons
Miss Ford’s Ballet is taught in year groups. These classes provide children with a broad experience of dance using ballet as the main framework. Other styles of dance are introduced, including European folk dance, contemporary, modern and classical mime. Every two years, the children prepare a dance presentation for the School and parents.
speech & Drama (Trinity College London)
• Available to Years 3 – 6
• Lesson timing – during the school day (rotated), usually 10
lessons per term
• Lesson duration – 30 minutes individuals/45 minutes pairs • Lesson cost – to be confirmed later in the summer

• Lesson duration and timing – 30 minutes during the school day (rotated), usually 10 lessons per term
• Lesson cost – £253 per term
• Instrument hire if required – £41 string, £53 wind per term
• Teacher – varies by instrument

Please note that lesson requests for girls in Year 2 should only be submitted following discussion with the Head of Music and their form teacher. If a music lesson is missed, it is at the music teacher’s discretion to decide whether another mutually convenient time can be found instead.
