public understanding of our services, activities and issues.
Responsibility for media engagement and strategy rests with the Chief Development
Officer. All media inquiries are managed and responded to centrally via this process.
If any team member is contacted by the media or press regarding Jack & Jill you are to
direct them to (954) 463-8772, Ext 203 or mmeyer@jackandjillcenter.org.
The Chief Development Officer is experienced in managing and assessing media
opportunities, identifying the most relevant spokesperson and ensuring that all necessary
approvals and consent requirements are considered in developing a response.
Development manages both reactive and proactive media relations.
Media Inquiries
Team members are not permitted to approach or speak to the media on behalf of
Jack & Jill without the approval of the Chief Development Officer. This includes
conversations described as 'off the record'.
All media inquiries must be immediately directed to the Chief Development Officer.
This includes media inquiries or activities relating to the Center, its services, its
children, its team members, or its program families.
The Chief Development Officer is the liaison between the organization and the media
and is authorized to act as a spokesperson on matters of fact or clarification, or to
provide reports.
The Chief Development Officer will assess the media inquiry and draft the most
appropriate response or action and identify the most appropriate spokesperson.
Any department wishing to invite media onto Jack & Jill property or managed areas
must first gain the consent of the Chief Development Officer. Media will be escorted
by the Development Department.
