CREATION DATE: September 2015
REVISION DATE: December 2018
EFFECTIVE DATE: February 2019
*********************************************************************************
Our corporate email usage policy helps Team Members use their company email addresses
appropriately. Email is essential to our everyday jobs. We want to ensure that our Team
Members understand the limitations of using their corporate email accounts.
Hourly Team Members are not allowed to use work email off the clock.
Every time you compose, send or read a business email, you are representing not only
yourself, as a professional, but Jack & Jill Children’s Center.
Respectful, courteous language and proper grammar and punctuation are required.
Team Members should use their company email primarily for work-related purposes.
The Center has the right to monitor and archive corporate emails.
Email etiquette
Good email etiquette is required and includes the following:
Include a clear, direct subject line.
Think twice before hitting "reply all."
Use professional salutations.
Use exclamation points sparingly.
Be cautious with humor.
Know that people from different cultures speak and write differently.
Reply to your emails — even if the email wasn't intended for you.
Proofread every message and use spellchecker.
Include an email signature.
Add the email address last.
Double-check that you’ve selected the correct recipient
Inappropriate use of company email
Team Members must not:
Sign up for illegal, unreliable, disreputable or suspect websites and services.
Send unauthorized marketing content or solicitation emails.
Register for a competitor’s services unless authorized.
Send insulting or discriminatory messages and content.
Intentionally spam other people’s emails, including their coworkers.
Personal use
Team Members are allowed to use their corporate email for personal reasons as long as
they are of a professional nature.
