POLICY: TEAM MEMBER CLASSIFICATIONS                                                          Policy #6

              Team members will be notified of the Team Member Classifications into which their position fits
              on the job description and in their Letter of Appointment from the hiring leader.  For example,
              the Center Director position may be classified as: Full-Time, Full-Year, Exempt, Administrative
              Team member.

              Jack & Jill Children’s Center reserves the right, in its sole discretion to change a team member
              classification at any time without prior notice.

              1.      Full-Time Team member:  A person who is regularly scheduled to work 30 to 40 hours
                      per week.

              2.      Part-Time Team member: A person who is regularly scheduled for less than 30 hours
                      per week.

              3.      Full-Year Team member: A person who is employed basis for 52 weeks per year.

              4.      Part-Year Team member: A person who is employed for less than 52 weeks per year.

              5.      Long-Term Substitute: A person employed for a temporary period exceeding 2 weeks
                      and for a specific purpose. Long-Term substitutes will not be eligible for benefits.

              6.      Short-Term Substitute: A person employed for a daily and/or weekly period to fill a
                      vacancy created by the absence of a team member.  Short-Term substitutes will not be
                      eligible for benefits.

              7.      Exempt:   Team members whose positions meet specific tests established by the Fair
                      Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and applicable state laws and are, therefore, exempt from
                      the overtime provision of Wage-Hour law by the nature of their duties and salary status
                      are classified as Exempt team members. Exempt team members are not required by law
                      to  be  paid  additional  compensation  above  their  regular  salary  for  hours  worked  in
                      excess of 40 hours per week.

              8.      Non-Exempt:  Team members whose positions do not meet specific tests established by
                      the FLSA and applicable state laws and who are generally paid hourly and are paid a
                      multiple  of  their  regular  rate  of  pay  for  hours  worked  in  excess of  40  per  week  are
                      classified as Non-Exempt.

              9.      Classroom/Direct  Care  Team  member:    This  includes  positions  where  the  team
                      member’s primary duties involve direct care and supervision of children. POSITIONS
                      INCLUDE: LEAD TEACHER, TEACHER, FLOATER, AND SUBTITUTE.

              10.     Administrative  Team  member:    This  includes  positions  where  the  team  member’s
                      primary duties involve supervision of team members, program, financial and managerial
                      responsibilities.    POSITIONS  INCLUDE:  CHIEF  EXECUTIVE  OFFICER,  PROGRAM
                      DIRECTOR,  CHIEF  DEVELOPMENT  OFFICER,  CHIEF  FINANIAL  OFFICER,  AND  ALL
