What's New at Jack & Jill?
The past year has been exciting for Jack & Jill Children’s Center. As one of the oldest nonprofit
organizations in Fort Lauderdale, Jack & Jill continues to expand and meet the needs of the families
and children we engage in our community. Many people and organizations have joined with us in our
shared mission, and we deeply appreciate your commitment to our families and children. As Jack & Jill
grows, we are able to offer additional and enhanced services at the Center that advance our vision of
every child and family having the tools they need to be successful in life.
Lifelong success is dependent on individual and collective health and wellness. Every week, our
children sing and dance along to “I Wish You Well” by Jack Hartmann & Dr. Becky Bailey, a song that
provides a weekly reminder of our interconnected well-being. Wellness also expands into our
classrooms and beyond thanks to investments made through grants from funders like PNC Foundation
and the Aetna Foundation. Our children are learning about patience, nurturing, and where food comes
from by gardening outside. We have incorporated technology like hydroponic towers into classroom
learning; our children plant, harvest their crops, and enjoy them in their meals and snacks.
Mental and physical health are a priority at Jack & Jill Children’s Center. Our children take time
for mindfulness, decompressing and de-stressing with yoga and meditation. We have also introduced
soccer and ballet lessons as disciplined organized activities for our children, in addition to free play.
Moving forward, we hope to expand the programs we offer as we continue working towards
our mission. Thank you for your support and for believing in Jack & Jill Children’s Center.
