Mr Sola Mahoney – Chairman
Mr. Sola Mahoney is a graduate of Harvard University USA, where he obtained a Bachelors
Degree in Sociology. He also holds a Masters Degree in International Affairs, Columbia
University New York.
Mr. Mahoney has over twenty years’ experience in development and commercial banking,
with wealth of global banking experience with Citibank, Standard bank and Barclays.
He also had several years’ experience in public sector service with the Gambia Government,
in the areas of economic policy coordination, capacity building for macro-economic
management as well as public sector enterprises.
Mr. Mahoney is currently the Chairman of the Board of GigaGas Ltd and the Chairman of the
Governance Committee of HelpAge Ltd.

Mr. Abolaji Yusuff Isiaka MD/CEO

Mr. Yusuff Abolaji is the Executive Director in charge of Operations, Treasury and Technology,
Guaranty Trust Bank Gambia Ltd. Prior to his deployment to GTBank Gambia in July 2014,
Mr. Abolaji was the Group Head; Internal Control Group, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc where he
was tasked to Identify and evaluate risks in all the bank’s processes towards zero tolerance to
fraud, irregularities and income leakages. From July 2008 to October 2013 he has also
served as the Regional Coordinator-Lagos & North/Abuja System & Control Group. His main
task was to oversee all Audit, Investigation and Control activities in Lagos, North and Abuja
area.

Prior to joining GTBank Plc, Mr. Abolaji worked for Access Bank Plc from May 2007 to July 2008 as Head, Audit &
Investigations. The solid financial manager has also worked for United Bank of Africa Plc as Resident Control Officer from
August 2001 to November 2006.
Mr. Yusuff Abolaji a chartered accountant also holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University
Of Calabar, Calabar (2002) and a BSc degree in Accounting from Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye (1992). He has also
attended several professional trainings and seminars both locally and abroad.

Adesina holds a Second-Class Upper Division first degree in Business Administration from the Rivers State University of
Science and Technology and a Master of Science degree in Banking & Finance from the University of Benin. He is a
Chartered Accountant (Fellow), a Professional Banker, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (FCIB) and
an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management of Nigeria (AMNIM). He has attended several trainings and Senior
Management courses including Credit Risk Management & Retail Banking Strategy workshops, Real Estate Finance &
Investment Strategies by Julian Roche, Winning with Strategic Management Techniques, Equipment Leasing; Pricing &
Structure by ELAN, Live to Lead by John Maxwell, Simon Sinek, Liz Wiseman & Dan Cathy, the Positive Leadership training
by Michigan Ross amongst Others.
