Judy Mazza Conover
After high school, I moved from Long Branch to Eatontown where I owned The Coffee
Shop on Main Street for a year or so.
Then onto Tennessee, when my husband joined the Marine Corps. The Corps sent us to
Beaufort, SC where he got his orders for Vietnam 2 weeks after our son was born. So,
like any good Jersey girl, I moved back and lived in Toms River until he came home.
The Corps sent us back to Beaufort until we were furloughed. Back we went to Jersey, to
North Jersey this time, Hillsdale, to live with his folks. Then to Camp Hill, Pennsylvania
for our first civilian job and the birth of my daughter.
We lived six years in Pennsylvania, then EDS (Electric Data Systems——Ross Perot's
computer services company, which was eventually bought out by GM and later Hewlett-
Packard) sent us to Hollywood in Florida for three years. In 1979, then to Plano, Texas
and have been here ever since.
It was a whirlwind. Seven moves in twelve years, but we managed to handle it.
Looking forward to our 50th reunion and seeing familiar faces.
