Richard L. Ricciardi

Upon graduation from Long Branch High School, I attended Seton Hall University and
graduated from Boston University. In 1986, I received my MBA from Monmouth
University.

I spent my entire working career with 3M Company in their pharmaceutical division.
Over a 30-year span, I assumed increasing managerial responsibilities, retiring as a State
Lobbyist and Manager of Government Affairs. During this time, I was involved in the
Long Branch National Exchange Club and a past president.

In retirement, I’ve become actively involved at Monmouth University where I am
presently Chair of the Business Council in the Leon Hess School of Business. I was
honored to have been awarded the prestigious 3M Community Volunteer Award for my
service to the community along with the Monmouth University Volunteer of the Year
Award

My fiancé, Karen Leoncavallo, and I were honored to be co-chairs of the Monmouth
University Holiday Ball for the past two years. This is their premier fundraiser for student
scholarships.

I continue to remain very active with my tennis academy, which is a co-ed social group
of former high school and collegiate tennis players. The Monmouth Beach Tennis
Academy just celebrated its 30th year. Recently, Karen and I became involved in the
interesting sport of croquet. We are currently members of the Green Gables Croquet Club
of Spring Lake. Founded in 1957, it is the oldest croquet club in the country.

Karen and I are proud grandparents to Everett Spaul of Portland, Oregon. Someday, I
hope that I can share with him my interests and skills in tennis, photography, and the
Jersey shore.
