CHAPTER 6: SAVE MONEY

FROM ZERO TO A HERO

In the house of the wise are stores of choice food
and oil, but a foolish man devours all he has.
Proverbs 21:20

Live on less than you earn, and you will never be
broke, and may wake up wealthy someday. That
means save for your future needs. Strive to save
money. Make saving a priority and something you
do on purpose whenever you get paid. We all begin
life broke, but don’t need to stay that way.

We all begin life broke. Babies are born in a

state of poverty and then pass through a childhood

of 12 to 18 years without any income to speak of.
Fortunate children have a home with loving

parents and a secure environment to grow and

mature in. But almost all of us begin at $0 and
need to work and make income to begin our

savings journey. Some people never save and

remain broke for life. Some others develop large
incomes and build fortunes. But what can the

average or ordinary person do? Fortunately, it
doesn’t take a fortune to build a fortune. Small
